Whats our Story?

It Started, Quite Simply, Like This...

YaineYa first announced itself in the summer of 2010. As the musicians themselves note, music styles such as math-rock, indie, ambient, jazz and even grindcore have influenced their music. However, not being true followers of directions and genres, to which the work of the group is often attributed, YaineYa go their own way, based on their own idea of what should be modern independent experimental music. After playing with many drummers, the ideologist, vocalist and guitarist of the band Semyon, decided to use live musicians in live performances. Since the appearance of YaineYa released 8 albums and 6 singles, played dozens of concerts across Russia, took part in almost all interesting concerts and festivals in the city of Kazan.

Organized chaos, beautiful harmonies - these are the key words which will lead you to YaineYa (translates as 'I and not I'), a band from Kazan, central Russia. Existing for 4 years, they are the innovators in the stream of Russian math rock, regularly touring all over Russia regularly and having 14 releases.

Starii Millicioner (feat. HSV)

2011

Almost a month after the debut single, the band released the second, along with the band HSV. Formed in the days of the existence of the band Ginger Was Born in 80`, in which HSV's vocalist and guitarist YaineYa played together, the single sounds in Russian and is dedicated to the militiaman who already outlived his own at the time of release of the single.

2011

In autumn 2011, YaineYa released their debut single, titled 2CB (tusibi) The single was recorded at home using one electric guitar and voices. As he later called his portal OpenSpace "unexpectedly quiet and meditative" It is noteworthy that only a year later it suddenly turned into a clip in the spirit of the works of the director Gaspar Noe.

Only recently released an album called "8" math-rock duet YaineYa is so prolific that it represents the next one - and is preparing a third one this year! Motor guitarist Sam Samoylov sent it to us straight from the beach in India. SSDD is the fourth full-length release of the band for four years, for which the musicians traveled with concerts in the Volga region and clearly became one of the most prominent representatives of the underground scene, dispensing on stage one percussion, guitar, dozens of guitar effects - and hardworking virtuosity.
No4` Za Selom

At the end of December, the Kazan mat-rock duo YaineYa released its tenth anniversary release, a jubilee release. The first thing you are surprised when listening to "No4 'za selom" is the acoustic sound: only guitar and cadence are instruments here, and this gives the compositions not mathematical simplicity. The language is the second change, and even more remarkable: the mini-album consists mainly of songs in Russian, with trusting lyrics about relationships and youth, - the experience for the group is completely new.
